For the 2013 Z Nationals Track Day, the world-class Barber Motorsports Park facility, located in Birmingham, Alabama, has been secured. The 2.38-mile road course features a mixture of challenges including fast, sweeping corners, decreasing radius hair pins, fast straightaways and rolling hills.

Pre-registration for the track event is $250 and spots are limited!!  Don't miss this opportunity to push yourself and your car to the limits on one of the United States' premier race tracks. As in past Z Nationals events, "Ride-Along" Driving Instructors will be provided and all levels of drivers are welcomed and encouraged.

Track Info:
Located roughly two hours west of Atlanta, Georgia and only minutes from downtown Birmingham, Alabama, this world class facility plays host to many world renowned motorsports events annually. Such series as the IZOD Indy Racing League (IRL) and Grand-AM Sports Car Championship call Barber Motorsports Park home. Featuring 17 fun-filled turns comprising the 2.38 mile course, drivers and spectators alike can expect to have an enjoyable time at one of the southeast's most scenic and visually dynamic race courses.

In-Car Instructors:
As an added bonus, there will be several SCCA-certified, ride-along instructors who will be available for those who have never driven in a high performance/motorsports setting.  Together, these instructors will ride along with you to teach you the basics of performance driving, track etiquette, etc. so that you can capitalize on your vehicles maximum potential SAFELY!

This is NOT a competitive event.  The 2013 Z Nationals Track Day is designed to be a high performance driving experience and school with the utmost safety in mind.

Vehicle Inspection “Tech Inspection” Driver’s meeting:
Consider this as your vehicles “physical exam”.  All registered vehicles MUST have the supplied pre-tech inspection sheet found in the registration packet fulfilled PRIOR to arriving at the track Sunday morning.  All participating vehicles MUST be at the track by 7:00 AM CST to perform a final tech inspection prior to being allowed on track.  All drivers must be present to check all required safety gear and to attend the mandatory driver’s meeting at 7:30AM.

Required Safety Gear & Clothing:
In order to participate in the 2013 Z Nationals Track Day event, all drivers MUST have the following safety gear and attire present before being allowed onto the track*

Inclement Weather:
Please be aware that the 2013 Z Nationals Track Day will take place Rain or Shine. No refunds will be made as a result of inclement weather.  In the event of extreme inclement weather (Tornados, Floods, Hurricanes, etc.), the Z Nationals event staff will work with all registered participants to reschedule the track event or make other arrangements.

Options Note "Rate Yourself":
In an attempt to create a more ideal run group pairing between driver’s comfort, skill and vehicle capabilities, please rate both your vehicle and yourself from 1 through 10.  Please be as honest as possible when making this evaluation.  For example:

1. A "10" is classified by someone with a great deal of racing/track experience who is driving a high speed, semi-/ full-race prepared vehicle and is prepared to push the vehicle to its fullest.
2. A "1" would be someone who is driving a low/moderate powered vehicle on the track for the first time.  This driver is eager to participate, but may not be able to keep up with the pace of other vehicles or is 100% comfortable in a track setting.....YET!

Please keep in mind that there are no penalties based on this classification.  Final run group placements will be at the discretion of the Z Nationals event staff.  As close to an accurate response as possible will help the staff place you in the appropriate run group that will allow both you and your fellow attendees to achieve maximum enjoyment from the Track Day.
